About Me
Hello! I’m Alyssa, also known as Ms. Salcido/Ms. Poppert to some. I'm thrilled to introduce myself as your potential tutor. Originally from Cincinnati and one of seven siblings, I've spent 14 years calling the San Francisco Bay Area my second home. I earned my bachelor's in Communications and Marketing from Santa Clara University and spent the first five years of my career in marketing roles at StubHub and Pandora before deciding to transition and explore my passion for social impact through education.
I obtained my teaching credentials and Master's degree from the University of San Francisco and spent six rewarding years teaching— one in Kindergarten and five in First Grade at Daniel Webster Elementary within SFUSD. Currently, I have temporarily relocated to the Tampa/St. Pete area due to my husband’s work project, where I've been providing remote tutoring for the past six months.
Specializing in primary education, I offer personalized one-on-one Zoom sessions tailored to address your child’s learning gaps and boost their confidence.
